Q What is the nearest airport?
AThe nearest airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, which is approximately 2.5 hours away.
QAre there shuttles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport?
AArizona Shuttle (928-282-2066) provides transportation to Cottonwood and we pick you up with our shuttle from Cottonwood. Make your reservations with both Arizona Shuttle and Sedona Mago Retreat in advance.
QWhat is included as part of the retreat programs/training programs?
AOur program fees include training and practice sessions as outlined in the itinerary, accommodations during the length of the program, and three meals a day. We also offer many free and at fee retreat enhancements to allow you to customize your stay.
QHow are the meals?
AMeals are served buffet style in our dining hall three times a day. Our menu is pesco-vegetarian, which means we serve fish and seafood options. Many of the vegetables and fruits served are from our organic gardens.
QDo you have Wi-fi? Do you have computers?
AWi-fi service is available in our lounge and trainings rooms. We offer two computer stations in case you have to access the Internet during your stay.
QCan I bring my laptop?
AYou can bring your laptop, but we encourage you to limit your use during your retreat stay and break away from your normal routine. We understand that keeping in touch with loved ones and coworkers is important, although you should honor the time and fully commit to your practice.
QDo I get cell coverage? Can I bring my cell phone?
AThe most reliable service is from Verizon. Other carriers have poor signals at Sedona Mago Retreat. We offer a complementary phone at our Welcome Center to make local calls. Cell phone use is prohibited in public areas.
QIs there laundry service?
AWe have a self-service laundry room that is operated by quarters. Laundry detergents are also available for purchase. Ironing boards are also located in the laundry room.
QWhat is the weather like?
AWe are located in the high desert at 4,500-feet altitude. Typical desert weather is warm or hot in the day, with dropping temperatures at night. We have strong winds that can help with the warm temperatures, but which also circulate dust and pollen in the air. Please review our visit us section to learn more about weather averages.
QCan I visit for a day?
ASedona Mago Retreat is open to the public every Saturday for Tao Service and classes. This is free to all visitors, with donations gratefully appreciated. Reservations are required for Saturday Open House and Tao Service. Learn more »

QAre you open to specific faiths?
AWe are open to all faiths and spiritual backgrounds.
QHow are the accommodations?
AOur retreat accommodations includes 120 casita-style guest rooms that are decorated in a style conducive for relaxation and meditation. Our standard rooms offer mini-refrigerators and microwaves. House on the Rock suites offer kitchenettes. To maintain an environment conducive for meditation, the rooms do not have televisions or phones. QWhat if I want to share a room but am traveling alone?
AIf you are traveling alone and selected the "shared room" option in your booking, you will be assigned a rooming companion of the same gender.
QCan I bring my pet?
AWe do not allow pets, although service animals are allowed.
